      I've been missing out!

We've always had great water pressure except in our shower. It took minutes to get hot water from the shower head. We would turn it on and surf the internet while we were waiting. It took an insane amount of time to actually shower, especially to do our hair. I thought it was weird 14 years ago when we moved here but we had the house replumbed and everything in the bathroom redone and nothing changed so I figured it was something that we had no control over and gave in to the way of being.

Then my husband's old acquaintance moved back to town and he is a plumber. Our switch between the faucet and shower broke and we weren't getting any water at all. Called this guy and in less than 10 minutes, he had the situation resolved.

Now our shower could strip paint. We call it the car wash. As in, I'm going into the car wash. Hot water in seconds. This thing stings my feet. We come out red from the spray. It's like instant exfoliation. And it's fantastic! Between the dogs and the chickens and the goats and clearing the property, I can't leave the house without taking a shower. Yesterday, I was doing something in the leach field and am now seriously considering throwing out my shoes. Wish I'd pursued it sooner. It's the little things in life.

      What did he do?

We have to periodically clean scale out of the bottom of our hot water tank. We can put the pressure up somewhat but if we wanted more pressure it would a lot of $ to buy a more powerful pump. LOL, I nearly flooded my Mum's house when I ran a bath and forgot it would take far less time to fill the tub at her house than it does at mine.

The water pressure in our house if off the charts. We blow hoses in the backyard all the time and I have turn the kitchen sink down so I don't spray water all over the place. We just had a plumber over and he said we were the first person he ever heard complain that we too much pressure.
      Thanks Everyone!!

He replaced the entire unit. Which is weird because we had already had that done. Maybe there's a regulator or something on the back of it.

I hear you. We have one of those kitchen faucets that you can pull out. It leaks out of the base. I do think that our water pressure increased about four years ago. They were doing work on the town water main and our bill doubled. I wonder what this new development will do.

If Nikki can ever get back in the tub, she's really not going to appreciate it.
