    Things you can't stop buying.

I'm a seed addict. When it comes to veg, I'm apparently trying to rival the seed bank in Norway. There's a great group online that has been selling untreated, non-GMO seeds with a huge heirloom selection. They have amazing seasonal sales and a rewards program. And I can't stop buying them. They keep coming out with new stuff. I have oxheart tomatoes, ghost pepper chilis, cardoons, fava beans, every weird lettuce ever created. I like to try growing off base things and love being able to try new things affordably.

    What is your thing?

Fabric. The OH can't pass up a canister of WD40.

I wouldn’t say I can’t stop buying them, (because we don’t have enough space) but I like vintage sewing machines. I have a hand crank Singer Spartan, made in Scotland in 1959. I recently bought a Pfaff treadle machine I think it was made in the late 1930’s. It’s in a lovely cabinet and came with an assortment of needles and pressure foots. No manual but I was able to find one online that at least showed me how to thread it. I’ll,maybe try to get it sewing this week. Need to fiddle with the tension. My newest sewing machine is a Kenmore that my SIL found for me when I was first living by myself. It’s probably from the mid-70s.
I can’t stop buying fabric and old patterns.

Fabrics! Have so much stored up. Keep saying I'm going to lock myself in the sewing room and get busy but life gets in the way.

I have to say fabric and books, my house has way too many of both.

I've bought, and keep buying water bottles, travel mugs and insulated cups. I always carry a water bottle with me but leave them at work, in the car or just lose them so need multiple. They used to be plastic, then they said don't use BPA, then the double insulated ones came out that kept things colder or hotter. Straws, flip lids, solid lids, different sizes for different activities, I seem to try them all. Some retain the coffee smell, some are too hard to clean, some keep things too hot, some leak or are to hard to fill, then there is the question of whether it fits in the car cup holder. It's like an obsession searching for the perfect one.

It sounds like I shouldn't learn how to sew!

@Janedoe Shortly after I joined this board you said you thought you would like to learn to sew. Did ever sew anything then?

@Kleb Have you ever looked at the Marketplace feature on FaceBook? For sewing machines? I like to look at it, easier to see pictures of items there than on Kijiji. It's also good for a joke sometimes, the absolute garbage some people think is worth a LOT of money. And sad too, it must be a deceased relatives solid wood dining room set offered for practically nothing.

Flashlights. We have: a red night vision flashlight, a stainless AAA LED, a regular bulb AAA Maglite, an LED bulb AAA Maglite, a crank or solar radio/USB charger/flasglight, a cheap headlamp, a cheap AAA flashlight and a decent LED headlamp in the car, a decent Coleman headlamp in my get home bag. Oh and a kerosene lantern, a UCO Candelier candle lantern, and two single-candle UCO candle lanterns. There's a nifty-looking solar lantern at Canadian Tire that I haven't bought. Yet.
