    My people son . . .

Thanks to those who sent prayers and thoughts for my son Joe.

For the update he had the surgery back in January. A clip on an artery or vessel came off and he had to be rushed back into sugery. Resusitation, 7 units of blood and two of plasma later they stopped the internal bleeding and brought him back from death.

The whipple itself was successful, he now has 0 (ZERO!!) cancer and has enough of his pancreas left to be functional without shots of insulin. Luckily, it was caught early enough. He’s been at a constant and slow recovery with this tube and that tude being pulled and changed and his body is well on the way to functioning normally digesting food etc. He’s BEATING it!! Words cannot explain how proud I am of him. He’s a tuff hombre for certain.

I didn't know about this either. I'm so glad everything is working out ok. A whipple is like being eviscerated. My OH had one in 2015. Bamps, when my OH was recovering from his whipple I went on some survivor FB sites and one for those close to the patient. They helped. Good thoughts to all of you.
