    Chocolate treats (store bought).

I stopped eating refined sugar for a year and now have a limit on what I eat each day so I want it to really count. Have been checking stores and amazon for fun new things to try in small portions. So far, I've landed on Sanders sea salt caramels, Toffifay and some almond things covered in English toffee and milk chocolate. When I bake for the shelter or other people, I'll skim something but I like the little bites.

What do you like and would recommend? There's so much new fun stuff out there. I don't want to miss anything.

Oh how I love those Saunders Sea Salt Carmels - the milk chocolate version preferred.

Are there any local candy makers near you. I still treat myself to chocolate covered cherries from a local candy maker when I go back east. Those have always been my favorite but they make all kinds of filled chocolates. If you can find someplace like that you can pick and choose your fillings.

Have you ever learned to properly eat Dark Chocolate. I never liked it until I learned how to eat it and enjoy all the flavors. Secret is to never ever chew it, that releases all the bitterness. Dark Chocolate since most of it low in sugar, the darker the better is also very healthy for you. There are a lot of different ones to try and different chocolate from different areas in the world have some unique tastes and qualities.

I do literally close my eyes and take a moment of silence and sit back and enjoy the full flavor of dark chocolate. If done properly it is an experience. Not only does it give you a moment of calm but it is healthy for you.

Here is a good reference for how to eat and how to buy. Again if your going to buy just like Hersey Dark chocolate, your doing it wrong.

I LOVE dark chocolate haha. I like the dark Lindt bars, my daily splurge is a piece of the mint or the sea salt.

    Yeah, it is so good.

Trader Joe's has a great selection of Dark Chocolate. I do a lot of Variety packs from all over. You can get a lot of Trader Joes Chocolates on Amazon. Loved this pack. There was one I didn't like, but the other were awesome.

I really love Spicy foods, occasionally you find some that add cayenne pepper to the chocolate. This adds a whole dimension to it. It is not hot enough to burn as least by my standard, but you know there is some spice in there thats the cocoa butter gently puts out as it melts. Again Trader joes has a really good one that does this. Not to be confused with the Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate that has pop rocks in it. LOL I was all set to let the dark chocolate melt in my mouth and instead it started exploding ;-)

interesting. I've never been a fan of dark chocolate except the Saunders Sea Salt Carmels. I'm actually not a big fan of chocolate overall but other than Reese's Cups which are my downfall, I've been trying to savor any chocolate treats. I'll need to follow these instructions with a dark chocolate bar.

Yes. Although I didn't put honey in my diet or that agave syrup either. Fruit tasted really sweet. It helped even out my mood swings (hormonal) and reduced anxiety. Now I eat one bite or so a day like one chocolate or a couple of Toffifay.
