If you feed birds, chipmunks and squirrels you get.....

these two hanging out in your backyard because they aren't stupid. They know where the best restaurant in town is.

This was at 9:00 am. I sped the video up 2x as it was a little drawn out.

They were underneath my truck in the driveway last night when we came home around 11:00.

The pair make nightly visits through the backyard and set off a dozen motion lights and just sit on my back deck.

I have a suspicion they probably drinking water from the dog dish.

I can't see your video but I bet it has foxes in it.

I wish we could keep cats around here. You're right. They take care of the problem. It's unfortunate that you have the problem though. We're in the woods so it makes sense that we have squirrels and chipmunks everywhere but yeah, they are so destructive.

I had no idea old feral Tuffy and our black Joe were travelling so far. Actually, Joe comes in at night.

They were on patrol again last night.

I used to hate the wild cats hanging around but after getting mice in my car and bbq I don't have such a problem with it.

Are there any concerns to Georgia though?
    Thanks Everyone!!

Does Georgia eat cat poop? You know, parasites and other baddies. That's what comes to mind as long as she doesn't tangle with them in the flesh. I doubt they'd be too friendly toward her.

One of my neighbors feeds all the neighborhood critters as well so her cats can watch the display out the window. I'm not keen on all the rodents but 1. they're across the street under a power line easement so they seem to travel along there and 2. hopefully the fox or foxes that come around take advantage of them for their own meals.

I suppose either the wildlife or the feral cats could carry disease, fleas, maybe distemper, rabies. We have both wildlife, feral cats, neighbour cats, our own cat in our yard too and don't really worry about Oban. In fact, so far the only one to suffer consequences has been me when one eejit neighbour repeatedly let her intact male cat out to roam and when I tried to save ourselves from it's howling and it from repeated fights with old feral Tuffy, it bit me.

Keep the rabies shots up to date. Other than that, I'm sure it's fine. I would be more concerned that someone is poisoning the rodents. I've used it in certain circumstances but that is some nasty stuff.

We did come across one of what now I believe to be 3 of the cats patrolling the area. The cat was in the drive way next door and I brought her over on the leash and that cat had the hump in it's back up pretty high. It just backed up into safety and then took off. I have to figure that me and the dog coming outside is enough for it to take off. I do agree that i have to be careful though.
