So far, so good...glad to hear it! Continued good thoughts headed your way.

Glad to hear the words "chemo" and "much better" used together in a sentence! Hope that trend continues.

Glad to know you are holding up so well during your ordeal. You have a great positive spirit which also helps your phyisical state.
Still sending MOJO and prayers-they must be working.

I knew someone who endured several rounds of chemo, several times. I'm convinced that her positive, can-do approach helped her immensely. You have a very similar attitude. Remember that lab board mojo is here for you.
May your pups always diligently and cheerfully wear their nurse caps (and never reveal what to the healthcare professionals they are doing so *grin*).

Well, found out that my white blood cell count was low enough that I don't have a functioning immune system. But more troublesome... I've developed "hand and foot syndrome" where the Adriamicin leaks into the plantar surfaces of the feet and makes it painful to stand on them. I'm using a wheel chair to get around the house. The only way to deal with the pain is to take oxycodone which I hate. (How do people get addicted to opiates? Damn I hate them. They make you feel like a blob, and they make me feel nauseated.)
So I've had to leave the dogs at the boarding kennel. I sit around in front of the TV with my feet on a block of ice, watching my hair stubble drop out and watching an amazing range of things on TV. Boring!

Oh, man...that's certainly not something we hoped to be hearing. I wish I could think of something adequate to say.
I hope this is something that's a short phase and not going to be hanging around.

Phooey, to put it mildly.

Well, that sucks! Will they switch you to something other than Adriamicin?
It doesn't take more than a day or 2 of watching daytime TV to figure out what a waste it can be. Do you have Netflix or Amazon Prime or some service like that? Didn't Woody start a thread where folks named some of their favorites on Netflix? Just think of all the popular "culture" you didn't know you needed to watch? I don't know what sorts of genre you could convince yourself you'd enjoy. I really liked Bosch on Amazon Prime. I could talk myself into Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul on Netflix or other things where there's an ongoing story line. Order dog training videos that you haven't seen yet? I know it's not what you want to do but I hope you can find something that makes it feel a bit less sucky. Wheelchair, ice packs, no dogs and drugs that make you feel pukey is enough of a drag.
You seem to have a lot of fortitude and I'm pulling for better days ahead for you.

I'm sorry. Not liking oxy might be a mixed blessing but I wish you were feeling better. All good thoughts.
