Hydro was off for 1.5 hours last evening. We don't know if it was a brown out or a crazy long weekend driver got into an accident and took a hydro pole out..

Same here in VA- 97-100 F, with a heat index of 105-110. Williamsburg was literally built on drained swampland, do the humidity is brutal. I’m going to attend a protest this morning with a BIG bottle of water! Then it’s all AC for me.

The current humidex ix 46C (115F). This is awful.

I plan to smoke a beef brisket tomorrow.

Very hot here in Ottawa. We were planning to go to the cottage, but opted to stay in the AC at least until Monday. Too hot for me!

It's crazy hot even for us "southerns" down here in lower Alabama and we're use to it... The humidity today was 94% dew factor was 74% and temp was 94 deg. Within five minutes your soaking wet from sweeting.

Said I was not going to complain about the hot since the spring was so cold but dang it's hot out. 94 today with heat index of well over 100. We are hunkered down in the cool. Even under the maple in the shade it's stinkin hot.

Up early to take Oban to a place he could swim in a clean, cool creek. Four cars already in the parking lot, probably mountain bikers. Back in half an hour and at one of the cars a person was putting their bike away while their heavy coated Belgian Shepherd type dog stood, panting, waiting to go in the car too. Not panting too heavily and the dog was standing, not lying down, but that car was there when we got there so they were out at least + a half hour. My God, I hope that dog wasn't made to run to keep up to the bicycle.

It is bloody hot out already and it's not even noon. No place for doggos outside today. Yesterday Georgia would come outside for awhile and then head back in and lay down on the air conditioning rad or on the concrete in the basement.

Keep your water bowls filled today!!!
    Thanks Everyone!!

Today's humidex is only 45C or 113F. We're very fortunate that our deck is shady and that today, we have a breeze. Fitzi and Lucy are outside with us and furball senior Achilles is wisely inside, sleeping in the air conditioned bedroom.

The brisket is at the stall.
