Thanks for your concern, Jeff. My late Dad had dementia, and the short term memory was the first to go. He couldn't remember what was just said, but childhood memories lasted much longer. Patience is key, and as already mentioned, let her talk without correction, regarding repetition. It will only frustrate her and make her angry. She won't remember the correction anyway.
Other's advice about contacting her children, neighbors, or protective services is good. Hopefully, she has the means to have home health care, rather than having to go into a nursing home, when it gets a bit worse. My Dad eventually had to go into a memory care center when the home health care nurse couldn't handle him any more after several years. Dementia is evil.
