    Chicken cam.

I bought a 10' x 10' x 6' welded wire enclosure for my chickens. Put two panels down the center to make two then a roof over the entire thing.

I was so excited. Five young birds in one half and two older ones in the second half. The two older ones were destined for a mobile kennel for garden prep. The mobile kennels are wrapped in chicken wire with about four inches of overlap on the bottom so that larger predators can't dig under (they don't tunnel). Thought that the 10' x 10' was plenty big for the birds to get away from anything trying to reach through and grab them so I didn't wrap the 10' x 10' in chicken wire.

I'm an idiot. I lost the two older birds. They must have gone after a raccoon when it reached through. Didn't hear a thing. That was Argos' job. He alerted on absolutely everything.

Baby monitors have come a long way. I picked up one that has video, infrared and two way communication. Now it sits next to me while I work at night. The camera is in the enclosure. Hopefully yelling at it will work or at least slow it down so I can deal with it otherwise.

It's working quite nicely. The only thing I've "caught" though is a young skunk.

I like this Mace pepper spray. I used to make my own but this is easy. One spray permeates the air and keeps anything remotely rodent related away.
