    Update on hip

It seems Dr says I need an MRI that the X ray is not picking up the problem Im tiered of being a 1 of a kind show and tell kinda patient. Anyway waiting for approval. Ill post again if they find something. He said that even if my bursa is inflamed it should not be this debilitating.

I've come to realize that I was poorly designed...things hurt more and for a longer period of time than they're supposed to. Things that only an MRI showed. A plain x-ray (and an arrogant ortho surgeon) allowed me to get 2 1/2 years of misdiagnosis that I've been living with complications from for 26 years. So....I hear ya. I'm also oddball with intolerances and sensitivities. I'm big on trial and error and self-healing to the extent possible.

Only you know how much pain you're in....you might be more sensitive than the average person and someone else's "should not be" doesn't apply to you.

Good luck getting an accurate diagnosis and relief from the pain.

Sundance poorly designed and hypersensitive. Yes I am both. I picked up an infection 6 months before any dr or x ray did. Not a super power I want lol. Sorry you are one too. I try to heal everything myself. But at this point I need to let my friends know I am trying to get an answer they have been on me about it for months.

I hope you can figure it out. Bursitis can be debilitating. Mine came back when I was in the air boot becacuse it made my already longer right leg longer still. When I put a boot on the left foot too, to level me, it helped. Wish you could find as easy a solution.

I have the same issues. The look at the x-rays/mri's and sometimes don't understand why I hurt so bad. Other times they don't understand why it doesn't hurt more. I tell them I can only describe the pain as I feel it.

I saw my Air Force family practice doc back in the spring. She's telling me how when you've been in pain for extended periods the nerves will continue to send pain signals basically out of habit even though the original issue may be corrected. Kinda made sense to me. She recommended acupuncture to various spots in the ears. I figured it was worth a try. She did two rounds of the acupuncture, and no it didn't help.

Hope you can get some relief soon.

Barry Our condition is not an easy one to treat. I almost feel bad for the doctors offices I walk into. I have read info on how the pain receptors keep firing especially with chronic pain. Problem is I don't even want to go for the MRI at this point. I almost know the results and answer.

There was a study done that proved that the brain learned pain even when the problem was resolved. Jollymolly, definitely not saying that is your situation. I have bursitis in my left hip, not the replaced right hip. Some days I really have to push through just to move. When I've had enough I go to the ortho for a cortisone shot.
