    Cataract Update

Or more accurately, no cataract update. Second follow up appointment. Left eye, good eye, 20/25. Right eye, cataract removal eye, 20/25. It's amazing how much I can see now. Peripheral vision on the right was horrible, now great. Other than having to "drop my eyeball" (instill drops) three times a day, it's been extremely easy. I'm seeing bright colors long forgotten. Some minor symptoms discussed with the doc and she smiled and said it was my brain relearning what my eye is seeing.

Don't be afraid of this type of surgery. The benefits and changes are amazing.

It is so wonderful to hear GOOD News. Now that you can SEE, how about taking Katie for a nice long walk and then maybe some treats to celebrate your success.

Does 20/25 mean you still need correction for driving? What were you before?

BlackBoy98, do you mean Katie gets treats or Poptop gets treats after their walk? I vote for both!

I'm glad to hear the surgery went well! I wonder why it was only in one eye?

Yes, I still need prescription glasses for driving but only cheaters for reading. I'm good with that. Doctor said there would be no changes in glasses after surgery and boy is she right.
