    MMA summer time fun

This summer and me and wife decided to start something new and healthy. My 10 yr is a Black belt and 7yr old son is also on his way. The place they train gives out free summer for parents which we never took. We both are a bit heavier and in 40s. During my daughter black belt cermony we saw a person near his 70 get his and most of the adults were older..

So wife and me start this mixed martial arts. Let me tell off the bat. the training is brutal . I even threwup during a class. the first 30 minutes is very very intense cardio and physical training. the concept is get you totally tired before training . EVery fight last 30 sec to 3 minutes and the goal is to fight and get away when you are at physical limit . Its aimed at smaller women to handle some of the dangers.

We are sore but are laboring through. now that summer is done we have decided to continue. Its was a thing for me and her to do. With all the soreness and pain we have seen our general health improve . Our stamina is up and we are jogging and high kneeing like crazy.... Gigi our dog is thrilled as we both jog and run with her. We will talk gigi for a walk and huff and puff after a few miles. Now we walk enough that she is done.

The first thing we got over was touching sweaty people . As the goal is train for any sized people you are always touching and engaging really sweaty people.

another reason . i am into motorcycle racing, watch it for decades . This year i brought a old barn find motorcycle and been going to the track. Its cool and having fun . But felt i need to try something new with the wife . Just not for me.

Good for you. That sounds like it will benefit everyone in your family, from better health and fitness for you to time spent together.
