Gosh, we haven't heard from Amber in forever! I hope she's doing well.
No one said it was a nice turtle! And it's got to be miserable for taking pooches outside in. I hope the rain ends soon for you and you don't run into problems from flooding or falling trees. We always seem to have homes with a lot of huge trees and I worry about them coming down when the ground is so saturated.

Almost hate to post this. Here in the Midwest there is a high pressure system that is stopping the hurricane from moving in our direction and makes it stall in the costal states. We've had gorgeous weather but dry - I know not what you want to hear.
Been keeping track of several I know in the area and they are doing OK. Power outages for them are not bad but the rain has been never ending.

Digital sign seen on I-285 in Atlanta today: "Avoid North and South Carolina. Take I-75N to Chattanooga." The flooding there is of biblical proportions. So sad.

It was incredibly anticlimactic here- it barely even rained! I’m at William & Mary and they closed campus Thursday and Friday, so I got an unexpected 4 day weekend. Mostly we sat around and ate our hurricane snacks, watching TV.
Sending good thoughts to our NC members. I especially feel for the Lumberton and Pembroke regions, which are economically struggling in the best of times.
