    The gazebo.

A gazebo popped up overnight on our town square. It was creepy weird. Our town takes nine years to do pretty much anything. My husband looked it up online and we had this conversation.

Him: They made a Netflix film.
    Me: When are they filming?
Him: They already did. It was a one day thing.
Me: Do we get to keep it?
Him: It's still there so I guess so. There's a sign on it. It says we're in Connecticut.
Me: That's nice. I always wanted to live in Connecticut. What kind of movie is it?
    Him: No idea.
Me: I hope it's not a horror film.
    Him: You never know.
Me: It could be one about a ghost gazebo popping up on a town square.

So if anyone sees a movie on Netflix with a gazebo on a town square surrounded by tall bricks building (library, church, town hall), please let us know.

    Thanks!

Stephen King is awfully busy. They did a couple of Castle Rock episodes down here last year. They've blocked off the street tonight and town square is shut down tomorrow. No one seems to know what this one is but Castle Rock is hulu so that's not it. The mayor said something along the lines of it's probably a series but this deal was struck like three weeks ago so who knows.

If it was just short like one day shoot it could be Netflix Show Atypical, Season two just came out few days ago, however if they are starting ahead for next year already. It is a story about a family and their child with autism and how he goes to high school. It is set in Connecticut however a majority of filming is done in California. If they needed some outdoor shots or something it is possible they came for a day, kind of the start of the school year shots since it is based on going School in Connecticut. Is there a school near by?

It’s A Very Nutty Christmas is a movie supposed to come out this year, also set in Connecticut. Maybe they needed some last minute film footage or something.

Billions is a show on Showtime based in Connecticut, but I am not sure if that fits.

They are remaking Bewitched, the old TV show. That was based in Connecticut. However I am not sure where they are basing the remake.

ABC has also a show called American Housewife based in Connecticut.

Edited to add, forgot about Washington Spies on netflix. However, I doubt that filmed there. You might have to look around if there are any old historical buildings etc and the gazeebo was used for cast and crew. Washinton, Spies is a series on George Washington so it is set in the late 1700's So I can't imagine it would be filming in the town itself but if there was an old historical church or courthouse or something, but this is set in Connecticut.

It's almost certainly Atypical then. The boarding school here went from a school and residence for Downs Syndrome children and adults to one for autistic kids about ten years ago. I'll take a look next season.

It's always neat to see something local in a movie. They filmed a Bruce Willis movie, maybe Looper near my parents. Kind of strange to see houses you recognize.

LOL you know though I think I might have one of the best stories on this. So I think I have mentioned before, I work for a large global corporation. We have a lot of large industrial locations as well. One of our largest locations was "Destroyed" in Transformers 3. Destroyed in quotes because of it was all CGI but the location and filming and so on was all done on location there. The huge brick buildings and train yard hub and so on. Not often you get to see one of the places your work get destroyed by robots. Which is ironic since the inside of those buildings were all full of real robots and heavy machinery.

When they filmed the snow ball fights in "TED" it was in front of my friend's sister's home in MA. I didn't know it was in the film until I took my friend's teenage son to see the movie. He says to me, "that's my Aunt's house!"
