    Is your garden still going?

I'm still getting a bunch out of my "summer" garden but I've noticed that the local small farm gardens have already plowed theirs under.

Do you go by what the planting calendars say or by what you get? I'm still waiting on tomatoes, peppers and butternut squash. It seems weird that people would just abandon their gardening efforts when it seems early to me.

I've taken in all my tomatoes and potatoes. Used most of my beets and carrots and beans. I looked yesterday and thought the garden needed watering but decided to just let it be, nothing is going to grow anymore. It was 2C here yesterday morning, some people had frost.

I have just planted my winter tomatoes. The only summer plant I still have going is my eggplant.

I just pulled my 4th harvest of green beans and then pulled the plants. The tomatoes are still going but their days are numbered. The peppers are still growing as is the green onions and carrots. I will probably pull everything over the next week or two.
    Thanks Everyone!!

I did not have a banner year. Just busy, got planted late, didn't water like I should. Two yellow Labs I know took care of what I did have...
