    September photo shoot - IPM!

I posted about International Plowing Match here, commenting about not getting much swag. I didn't leave empty handed, coming home with t-shirts and the cookbook.

O, I thought you might have come back with a tractor!!! T-shirts and cookbook are a little more practical.

Not vegetarian but recipes submitted from people within the municipality.
This part of Ontario, has a pretty good climate and soils for growing a wide variety of crops. In Canada, it’s the number one area for production of several crops like tomatoes (I’m way too aware of this one, entering into day 43 with out a day off and maybe another 10-15 more days to go) Brussels sprouts, peppers, seed corn to name a few. Our number of frost free days is almost six months, we get an adequate and generally timely rainfall. Though farmers with the higher value crops will likely irrigate if needed. Winters are generally mild compared to other parts of Ontario and not as much snow, though that can range wildly from year to year. It’s a good place to live, though I often yearn for the part of Ontario that I grew up in.

Mike I want a tractor (or at least a riding lawnmower). Negotiations are underway.

(I don't really want either one, just had to say that ).
