October photo shoot - at the cottage

We found a cottage within an easy drive of home. It is pet friendly so we took senior Achilles for a special weekend on his own.

The rain held off Friday evening so we were able to spend some time on the deck. Although we brought Chili's bed out he chose to lay on the deck.

It rained most of Saturday. Some folks might call that dreary weather. Not us! It made for good time cozying on the futon with books. I'm reading my way through Louise Penny's Inspector Gamache series and Faye had cookbooks among other things.

Great picture...sounds like a good hideaway. I never realized Chili had such a magnificent tail...that boy's got a good coat.

That looks so nice! I sat out on my front porch this afternoon and listened as the wind came down over the hill, into the trees then watched as the leaves were carried on the breeze. The buzzards have been just gliding on the wind while the leaves were spinning all around them. Sarah loves this time of year but Ginger not so much. Achilles looks likes like he enjoys the fall weather too along with his peeps

Barb, doesn’t he have the most amazing tail? His coat has always been double layered, thick, and very prolific at shedding. I affectionately call him my furball. Our Dyson has proven its worth over the years . . .

Woody, yep. It’s a cottage towed in (and still on) a trailer. One room, about 12 x 24 feet, with a propane convection wall heater that got the place quite toasty.

labsnewfy, we enjoyed it a whole lot. Chili is not too fond of summer heat (especially after this last long hot summer). We look forward to going back.

I will post more photos of the place.
