l live at the end of a street and generally get everyone lids, cans, recycle boxes and garbage in my drive way.
Yeah, I tend to get a lot of recycling from other people's cans on windy days. It all gets stuck in the forsythias. I like that graphic.
Can gauge wind force around here when the yard waste cans are rolling down the street. As far as trash, our new fence has solved that problem in the yard but still have pickup to do on the parkway.

We had an "in the neighbors yard" day yesterday!
When we were kids we use to judge how snowy it was by how many telephone poles we could count from the house, or if we could see the barn. We knew it wasn’t going to be a snow day if we could see the neighbours house 3/4 mile away. On the other hand, if the barn was just a shadowy outline we were pretty sure school would be cancelled.
Yep, that graphic says it all!
We had a version of that one year when a chicken went sailing past our picture window backwards. The chicken was not hurt but we started doing the chicken wind gauge for the degree to which the chickens became airborne without the use of their own wings.
