    Online ordering adventures.

I placed an order on amazon for dog supplements. We received the order almost immediately. I was very pleased. Opened them and started giving them to the dogs. Looked at our order list a week later and noticed that it was still listed as "Out for Delivery" with an apology for the delay. Became concerned that our postal people would get in trouble. Started a live chat. Apparently there is no mechanism whatsoever for amazon customer service people to correct delivery status. I was offered a refund. I said that I had already received the order. I was offered a cancellation. I said it was on my kitchen counter and I was using it. After a few more exchanges, I said "WHAT PART OF I HAVE RECEIVED THIS DELIVERY DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND???" I'm not proud of it but there you go. Finally I ended the chat.

They have issued me a refund. What can I say. I tried. Thanks Ralph. I think. I don't know. It's all very conflicting.

Fabric online. Can't get it. That's not entirely true but I've ordered approximately 20 lengths of 3-4 yards fabric. It shows up in the correct length about 30% of the time. The rest is either cropped down to 1-2 yards or cancelled altogether. I can return stuff to physical stores but still. Either I'm not fast enough or I'm not a priority customer. I can't tell. My husband keeps telling me to absolutely everything I think I'll like and see what happens. We're making the drive tomorrow. Just can't get it done.

    Any adventures of your own?

I've had pretty good luck with on line orders, so far. Fabric orders have been what I ordered and right length. You might pay a little more but stick to the big name fabric dealers. If I order it's because my local store, of which there is only one about 30 minutes away, does not have what I want.

I have been happily surprised that everything I have ordered has gotten here a day early.

So glad we made the trip to the actual store. It. Is. Amazing! Everything I was ordering online and then a bunch of clearance. How rare is that these days?

If you are talking about the Joann's website, I'm not surprised, there is actually more fabric type stuff in the store than online..

It's actually three sites. I'm starting to think it's an inventory control issue. I also discovered that many of these sites are completely different companies.

Just spent over an hour trying to figure out an e-transfer for payment for Elle's new equipment. Online banking is not my strength.

We very frequently have things marked as being delivered when they haven't actually been delivered and they get delivered the next day. If something is supposed to be delivered by 8pm, at 7:59 it will say "Out for Delivery" and then at 8:01 it will say "Delivered", even though I could have been standing at the door watching and know it wasn't delivered. I'm not sure if this is the different postal offices trying to cover their butts for delivery windows or what, but it is really frustrating. Now we know to wait at least an extra day to be concerned about where our package is when it's said delivered, but we generally don't care if it's a day late, we just want to know the actual status of it. And this is across many postal companies, not just one.

I found an oddity on Amazon awhile back when returning things.

Depending on what you chose as your reason to return sometimes you would have to pay for return shipping.

I just went through the list until I found a reason that included free return shipping.
    Thanks Everyone!!
