I so dislike driving in the snow, OK I hate it. More than a few times I followed a snow plow hoping for better conditions. Moved to northern IL from Savannah, GA., in January and what a shock.

Once opted for a different route as the usual one was full of cars sliding and hitting each other. Was doing fine on the downhill part until someone could not stop coming out a side road, started skidding around and I smacked him. Fortunately, both of us were going so slow and there was very little damage.

I don't like driving in the snow but if needed I will. The first winter in VA was very eye opening - as when bad weather hits people will just get out of theirs cars and leave them right in the road, along side the road they just get out and leave them. Some people would bring out their 4x4's thinking they could drive 70 on ice and snow because they had 4 wheel drive, you could find them sitting in ditches all over the place. I had a ford explorer rear wheel drive and only got stuck once on an incline before I put container's of chicken feed in the back over the wheels. I did get stuck in my own driveway, the guy across the street came out and helped me get out but that was my fault. I wanted to have a little fun in the snow and punched the gas as I turned into my drive wanting to fishtail a bit, which I did right into the fence.
