    January photo shoot - Brrr!

Winter has been a long time coming. December and the first half of January were very warm with very little snow. We're making up for lost time. We had about 7 fluffy centimeters (about 3 inches) last night and today it's -8C (17F). Expecting about 15 cm early tomorrow morning through tomorrow night, with enough wind to maker for blowing and drifting. Then it turns brutally cold - Wednesday's high forecast to be -16 (+3f) and low -22 (-7F) with wind chills to -35 (-32F).

So we sat outside for a few minutes today. We hope all in the path of this nasty system stay warm, dry, and safe.

Barry, we headed inside just after, didn't care to spend any more time outside.

smartrock, we used chair pads but they didn't make much difference.

Okay, that's cold. I'll stop complaining about -6C. The lowest we had this winter was -15.

We are supposed to get cold starting today into tomorrow. Today's high is 27 low is 13, Wed. high is 17 low 2, thrusday we start to warm up 21 during the day and lows of 15. The wind chill is what is scary for the homeless both humans and animals as the wind chill will make it feel -10 to -50 in areas.

Berna, -6 is still pretty chilly. I can't take the cold as well as in the past.

labsnewfy, wind chill is scary. I walked from one building to another at work today, upwind, about 5 minutes, and my face was stinging.

Well the forecast was wrong. Instead of -16 we went all the way up to . . . -15. It's -22 now and headed to -27 they think. -40? wind chill.
