    My sciatica is cured!

Went to get my physical just before my surgery. Great results but I brought up periodic numbness in my leg. After some questioning, she concluded it was sciatica. I asked if there was anything I could do about it. Yes, she said. There's a nerve in the crease of your thigh. Your underwear is too tight.

Bought some granny pants and now I'm cured!

Seriously though, if you're having issues, give it a shot.

I had a friend who was suffering from terrible headaches. Doctor complimented her on her new hair band.”When did you get it?” “Oh, a few weeks ago.” “And when did your headaches start?” “A few weeks ago.”

may all our our health problems be so easily solved!

I'm going to tell my friend who has sciatica.

I can't but help remember the first time one of our dogs got into a porcupine. We asked the Vet if he thought she'd learned to avoid porucpines. He said, "People get hangovers over and over. It's the heat of the moment." LOL

    Great quote!

If it helps your friend at all, my doctor told me to go commando when I sleep. It also took a few weeks to fully resolve.

That is an awesome piece of info to have. The fact that it helped is incredible. Im going to add this to my mental filing cabinet for further use.

I think Lisa ought to try her hand at fashioning her own granny panties...we haven't seen a sewing project in a while. This would be a good one.

Just so that you know, this is a particular issue. The numbness from that nerve occurs on the outer and upper thigh. My GP asked a lot of questions about exactly where it was. There's one that goes all of the way down the leg. I don't know where that originates. She also wants me to continue my stretching exercises. I can't tell you though how happy I am that it's almost completely gone. Waking up in the middle of the night with no feeling in my thigh was alarming. Just shifting positions brought the feeling right back though. It was weird. It happened once when I was standing for a long time during a class too. So strange.

The second largest city in my state decided to eliminate plastic bags at grocery stores by June which is a problem for the shelter so I picked up 100 yards of muslin and have been messing around with making bags. I'm thinking about dying the material as well with tea and other natural dyes or turning it into a crafts project for the residents and guests. They do crafts for therapy. Yesterday I picked up some pillow ticking in a throwback blue stripe to make bags for us. Because who doesn't want a chi-chi bag at the grocery store? I like that it's really stiff too. It will be interesting to see how it is to work with.

Granny pants though, no. Cheap and easy online.
