    Immature Bald Eagle

Here on Barry’s post about Bald Eagles I mentioned not having my camera when they were about.

Friday I went to the local post office to check my employers’ post office box. Running this errand is a bonus because I chat with the manager and get the local news. I can also check out what is happening on the St. Clair River. Sometimes I see a laker up- or down-bound, sometimes there might be interesting waterfowl.

On Friday I decided, pretty much on a whim, to drive up to the park about a klick upriver then turn around. Took my camera just in case. Well at the turnaround I happened to look in the right place at the right time. There was a Bald Eagle, not yet old enough to have full white head and tail plumage.

I thought abut cropping to remove the hydro lines and decided not to. This is what I and the camera saw so decided to go with that.

Awesome. I think the angle of the hydro lines add to the picture.

Nice. I think the hydro lines help frame the bird.
