I did like it. I would mention that there are numerous characters involved, each with a story line intermingling with other story lines. I listened to it on CDs so it was challenging to keep track of who each character was, especially if I didn't listen for a day or 2. I think it would be easier to keep track of people if you read the book, an actual paper book, so you could look back to see what was said about that person earlier in the story. It's not what you'd call an uplifting story, just sayin'

Yeah...that's what Amazon's reviews indicated. I just bought it...the paper version. I don't read books on screens (I like the feel of a book while I'm reading and, besides, I always seem to end up with sore dried-out eyes with a small screen.) I also just got Mama's Last Hug.

I remember a scene with cockroaches coming out. I cannot tell you how strong the urge is to just pull on this thing. The only thing that stops me is the fear that I'll rip my face off.

He's back on Monday. It is almost healed. That's what scares me.
