I've been going to Forest Hill, Maryland and doing obedience training with a few people on Friday mornings for the past couple months. It's a long drive, about and hour and 45 minutes one way, but it's a nice facility and I've gotten a lot out of training with some different people. I take the scenic route going home through Port Deposit, which sits right on the Susquehanna River becomes the Chesapeake Bay below the Conowingo Dam.
I was driving across the Conowingo Dam and I noticed a large number of bald eagles in the trees on the north bank of the river. Unfortunately there was nowhere to pull off to take some pics, so I was pretty mad about that. As I drove down RT 222 towards Port Deposit I saw and eagle in the top of a tree. I turned around and went back and shot these pics.
I shot the first two pics while sitting in my car. I got out to tray and get a better angle, but the eagle was having no part of that.
Here are couple other pics shot in the town.
Wow what amazing shots of the bald Eagle. Very nice

Looks like a nice place, I love the little stream with the waterfall.
And the eagle, such a beautiful creature!

Lucky to see the eagle and be able to get some shots. An hour and 45 minutes one way? Wow, that's quite a drive.

Good Bald Eagle photos. I love the one of the fence, marching off into the distance.

I spent a goodly part of my childhood living on Weems Creek in Annapolis MD. Weeds Creek empties into the Severn River (Which flows past the Naval Academy) which empties into the Chesapeake. Your pictures make me miss Maryland so much. We used to get in our little gilling skiff and sail to the center of town, wander around and spend our allowance, then sail home.
I agree with you, Barry. If you want to train your dog... you do what you got to do. That’s why we’ve been in TX for 2 months!
