It did occur to me that you’re out there where the goats and the chickens roam so perhaps there’s more you might be exposed to than some others of us. Plus the boots probably hold in moisture as well as keeping some out. Scrub away all you feel you need to. Most adults can probably assess their own requirements and I don’t need to opine on their choices.

people that exercise alot or deployed get used to shower stalls where its uncomfortable to bend over...maybe they clean their feet in their room with baby wipes now if you have a large shower with bench or bathe in a tub...duh...you better wash your toes.

Even apple cider vinegar for the toe action. Great. Now I'm obsessed with feet. Good thing I'm not dating. Now these would be my first questions.

I just read this thread today and checked out some of the stuff posted on Twitter. It took a *really* strange turn when someone posted "Well if you don't wash your legs and feet, you probably don't wash meat before cooking it." Wait, WHUT?! People wash their meat before cooking it? I'll rinse chicken but I certainly don't WASH it and would even think of rinsing a steak or hamburger. Am a heathen or is it common practice to wash meat before eating it?

No. You're not a heathen. In fact, a lot of these cookbooks now say that you shouldn't rinse chicken either. Just pat it dry. I do rinse fish though. Probably will keep doing that.

Well, I'll tell you, the meat washers had no problem shaming everyone that didn't wash their meat. They even brought race and life longevity into their shaming. It was an interesting read for sure.

Pure ignorance. The problems aren't on the surface of the meat. The problems are in the meat. Same with fruit and veg. That's why you cook it although that doesn't get rid of everything. Lysteria is now found in veg, not on it. That's why I try to grow my own under controlled circumstances as much as possible. I would be more concerned about what's in the water they're washing it with.
