I watched a Season of a show called The Detectorists. It's about two guys in rural England using metal detectors trying to locate Saxon treasure. It's supposed to be a comedy but it's more of a human nature kind of story that is quirky with a bit of mystery. it sucked me in for six episodes and I enjoyed it.
    Thanks Everyone!!

Just got into Man in the High Castle. It's actually on Amazon Prime instead of Netflix but it's really good. It takes place in the 60s in an alternate history universe where the Axis powers won WW2.

Yeah I watched it all within 24 hours. Mind you I almost quit somewhere in episode 2, it's a bit slow at times. Definitely something many people are talking about! I 'm waiting for a few more episodes of the podcast Serial to come out before catching up on that as well (similar concept, they go over a case but it's audio podcast).

After watching Making a Murderer and catching up on the latest (on netflix) season of The Walking Dead I was in need of something much lighter and am now watching Brooklyn 99. Just what I needed after all the death haha.

There's a new Netflix series called Stranger Things. It's a throw back to 80's sci-fi type shows or moves. Described as Steven Spielberg + Stephen King. Winnona Ryder is the one star you would recognize.

A small town, kids go missing, evil corporation doing experiments, strange girl with mind powers, sheriff and geeky kids investigating and some hammish acting thrown in. It's got it all. I started it last night and am about four episodes into it.
    Thanks Everyone!!

I second Stranger Things. I wasn't aware of your post, Woody, but just binge watched the entire season and it's really fun. It's set in the 80's and stars Winona Ryder as the mother of the missing kid with references to ET, The Goonies, pretty much all of the great kids films from that era. Lots of room for season two after the season finale. I hope they keep it going.
