    ~ Marsh Marigold ~

    Aye Mates,

My passion for the natural world and my work with retrievers, finds me often off the beaten path and traveling amongst some of the most spectacular offerings of Mother Nature. I photographed these Marsh Marigolds in a brook just north of our home yesterday afternoon. A beautiful splash of color contrasted against an otherwise currently drab understory.

Indeed. Found in continually wet and shaded areas.

They are beautiful. Your photographs remind me so much of the ones my beloved Uncle Harvey took. He was always taking photographs (pre digital) and often on a Sunday afternoon, I would have the honour of going with him and learning some nature lore.

    Mr. Kleb,
Thanks for sharing your recollections of your time spent with your Uncle Harvey. I too, started shooting my camera in the days o' film (pre digital), that likely making me a more proficient photographer today. My passion for wildlife, wild places, and photography are always motivational for me to venture outdoors.

    Cheers,
