    Do you enjoy your job?

My husband started his new job three weeks ago and really loves it. I have to say that this is the first time in about ten years that this has been the case. There have been aspects of previous jobs that have been good but this is the whole package. Work, benefits, pay, distance. It's been so long that we didn't think it would happen again.

So I'm curious. How many people in this day and age (and economy) really enjoy their jobs?

So far, I'm enjoying my job. It's just a part time thing, but I enjoy working with creative people, and to help not so creative folks make something interesting...

I do now that I'm retired!! I had a job that I absolutely loved. When computerized robotics were first coming out in the early 1980's. I worked in a production machine shop as an CNC lathe operator and soon worked up to programmer and eventually was head of the entire lathe dept. (12 lathes). Unfortunately, it didn't pay the type of money I needed to feed the family nor had the medical benefits either so I quit for a higher pay job with medical benes for the fam.

Yes and no. Depends on the day.

I don't think I'll ever retire--I'd get too bored--but will have a second "career" of sorts that more closely aligns with my interests. Hopefully sooner rather than later. For now, save save save.

Not really. So many things I'd like to do instead.

It's definitely not anything I'm passionate about. But I like my coworkers, I can come and go as I please, I get to work from home one day a week (more in winter if weather is bad), and I feel like it pays good with decent benefits. So I really can't complain. And it is an easy commute

Loved, loved my job before the business sold out to a hospital and then got gobbled up by a hospital corporation. After that it was nothing but tension. It's been very different since being laid off and deciding I was not going back into the workforce. Took a while to get used to being home all the time but I've got my routine down now, am actually staying up past 8:30 pm and love being with the furkids so much.
