Very dangerous for pregnant woman as it can cause birth defects.
I had Chicken Pox and Measles at the same time when I was 4.

I was either two or three when I got chicken pox. I had gotten the vaccine but I still got them. It was a really mild case, my mom said I only had two or three pox.

When I was in the 4th grade I got shingles on my back. I remember that and it was awful.

I am 44. I had chicken pox when I was 6 - I have a small scar on my face from it. My catching chicken pox delayed our PCS from Hawaii to Texas - we couldn't fly until I was no longer contagious. We flew back to the mainland during the incubation period of my sisters' infections (middle sister was 2; youngest sister was 6 months) and then drove from California to Louisiana in a borrowed truck-camper with no air conditioning while both sisters had chicken pox.

    Fun times,

I never had chicken pox. All four of my daughters had it one right after another.

I think I was around 6 years old. Remember sitting in bed in a darkened room (or maybe that was measles??) and trying so hard not to itch any of the spots.

My sister had chicken pox at 7, I was 3 and my brother was a baby. I remember the itching and I have a scar. We were all covered in pink calamine lotion and I remember my Mum putting socks on my brother's hands so he couldn't scratch.

My sister now has shingles around her waist. My Grandmother had shingles all around her eyes, so it was really excruciating for her because every time she blinked it caused her pain.

I didn't think I'd had chicken pox until I got shingles at 40.

I was 18. My sister was 10 and brought them home to me. Knocked me out for a week. I had been around kids with chicken pox many many times before as a youngster.
