I get my hair cut every other week for about $25 each time including a tip. Comes with a scalp and shoulder massage. And girls in yoga pants.

If I have to give it up there will be gun play.
Which gun you going to be playing with thinking about the girls in yoga pants ;-)

You are just like Jake. During the summer, I take a buzzer on the shortest setting (just a little fuzz, any shorter and he would be bald) to his hair usually once a month. In the winter, I have him come with me to the salon where my friend cuts his hair for free while my hair processes. Jake says hes practical, not cheap.

I do the husbands hair with the clippers, I dont think he has ever been to a barber. Ive had long, all one length hair my entire life, my mom keeps it trimmed for me. Ive never paid someone to cut my hair. I rarely color it and when I do, I do it myself

Mostly I dont go because im afraid. Id seriously hurt someone if they messed up my hair

Gosh, I can't remember the last time I went to a salon or stylist.... i just let it grow, and trim the ends occasionally. it kind of naturally stops growing right about at waist length. Its thick and straight, and I can braid it up or put it up in a ponytail or clip, and it looks just fine. Last summer I gave myself a bit of tapered bangs, but they're mostly grown in again. I think the last time would have been visiting with a girlfriend, who happens to be a very skilled stylist. She "did" my hair for a bunch of years, but I haven't seen her in ages and ages, like 8 years at least. Even then, it was a very well done cut, so that it didn't really look any different other than bangs sometimes and not others, but had a polished look to it.

Back in the 80's and early 90's when it was fashionable to have BIG HAIR i used to go to an ultra-trendy salon in downtown Vancouver every 5 or 6 weeks to get a perm, that was the only way my thick straight very stubborn hair would do the fashionable thing and go BIG. I think i spent $80 a perm... I guess I'm making up for that extravagence now.

So no, not cheap, just not a money-waster. Unless you have a place like PawsnJaws with nice extras included.

So did I - only a few times, so expensive as I just can't justify the price. I wonder if it was the same place?!
