I would love to do your garden! I swear when my contractors get done on the exterior next year, I'm never going back inside.

Still replanting bulbs here. Why, why did I ever think this would be easy. DH hauled home tons of mulch so that's yet to be done. The way I've set the lilies and iris, going to have to put the mulch in by the handful. My butt is really getting a workout.

Worked some more on our neighbor's yard clearing out volunteer crap bushes. They have huge thorns. The bigger stuff is going to have to wait for a new blade for the chain saw. DD is picking it up for us at work. Tried to work in her flower garden but the dirt was hard as cement. Gonna wait to after some rain. They are really not too bad, a few weeds, but the ground needs some major amendments.
Oh, I'm sorry about the thorn bushes. I got lucky. There were these huge viney things on weird trunks that ran close to the ground and I was sure they were going to be a problem. Fortunately, not a thorn in them. I hear you about the rain. It was the difference between night and day pulling out the sapling stumps.

How are you feeling these days? I missed the update on the visit to the ortho doctor.

Feeling really good, so much less pain. Got a cortisone shot in the hip for bursitis and another in a collection of calcifications in the damaged muscle. The first few days were not fun but after day, almost daily, it's gotten better. I can actually lay on that side with screaming in pain. Plus, now I can squat down, something I definitely could not do before the shots. My butt muscles hurt worse right now, LOL. Worked some more in the front garden; have so many bulbs to replant. For the first time, squirrels are digging up lily bulbs. Sure wish I could let Archie out there cause there is no problem in the back yard.

Laid out the herb garden today. Put in some peat moss and garden soil but not a lot since the soil is OK. I found a bunch of little mums at Lowe's for 25 cents a pop so I thought I would put those in where the other herbs and spring bulbs would be. So, rosemary in the back, oregano in front of that, mint will be to the far right, red basil where the purple mums are, daffodils where the yellow mums are, sage where the orangey mums are then crocuses kind of whereever. What do you think?

I'm so glad you're feeling better. Good luck with your neigbors'. It sounds like it's been a while since anything's been done.

    The garden's looking great.

Forgot about lavender. It hardy and smells yummy. Remembered when I was cleaning up around mind today.
