so, i knew he had a 4 o'clock appt and about 5:15 i texted him "??" and he called.

    never easy.
he needs a CAT scan because to appears to be in the joint, and of course, will require a pin.

and when i asked one more question, like "when are you doing it" and "is it outpatient surgery", he basically told me to worry about nick.

so, ok, i guess i won't ask anymore and he will just tell me.

Worrying and caring about adult children is often no easier than with little ones. It's hard not to overstep our bounds when they're our own children - whatever the age.

Plan something to do each day just for you that is satisfying even if it is only for half an hour. You've had such a long haul of family issues that I hope you're taking caring of yourself also.

wed i am planning a 3 hr outing with friends. planning. we shall see.

and having sons, makes it easy for me not to overstep as i barely speak, ask questions. i do a lot of head shaking (probably nerves, lol) nodding, agreeing, and that's about it. they both trained me early on not to speak too often or about too many things. except of course, when they need me. then i can speak.

so…yeah, I'm uptight now, t-v is being hung in basement, switched the bedroom one to downstairs and the new "smart t-v (whatever that is)" to upstairs.

    just really . just really.

Ouch and ouch! DD broke hers years ago getting tangled in a leash, needed surgery and a pin. It was done in Day Surgery. She did do some PT after the pin was removed. She actually did very well.

You are accomplishing so much. Now, I expect you to be gone tomorrow a long 3 hours and have a great, relaxing time. Your boys can take care of themselves.

i did go out and then we got it together , fed and walked the pooches and went to cory and dana's . i could see that jack was stressed seeing nick, and had to be reassured that he was "ok, poppa nick?". the little ones, grabbed the markers and they all decorated his cast. jack just wanted to know that nick was really ok, and would be ok. he was a bit freaked out.

my friends today, welcomed me, one told me i looked like crap but all in all, it was good to get out.

dana made the entire holiday dinner and pulled a 'betty' sending me home with everything including a fabulous chocolate mousse cake. my friend risa and her husband raph ( i know him since I'm 5 and her since hs) are coming tomorrow so i will just heat and put out and they can eat without me ordering in. whew.

a good day, and a good night tho i did want to crack nick in the head a few times.
