I know Nick hasn't retired, but your stories of having to deal with him around all day, day after day, is making the thought of my husband's retirement seem like a scary prospect. I can see it now. Him, yawning and stretching: "are you fixing anything for breakfast?" Me (awake for 2 hours already): "I've already eaten." Him: "So I have to fix my own?"

He also has an Audi. One of the tires blew out on our drive back from NC the other day and we had it towed back to MD (Thank you, AAA). Naturally, even though only one tire blew out, the Audi dealer says all 4 tires need to be replaced. All 4. The low profile tires they put on the sports models. All. 4. Nothing about fixing problems with all 3 of his Audis has been even remotely reasonable in cost.

Oh Betty, I feel for you big time! Will he be going back to work when he's all healed up?

nick, normally, when he is able bodied can busy himself just fine. cars, kids, and he doesn't get that jealous stuff other husbands do, even if i plan a girls weekend away.
this just sucks because he is dependent on me for almost everything tho today, again, he made his own sandwich, got the mail and even brought in the seat for the shower i ordered for him from amazon.

and yes, the low profile tires are kinda fragile. no pot hole tires, for sure.

and yes, we expect, after the new year, him to go back to work. please god.
we were told from the start-3 months no weight, one month after that he should be good to go. tho, he does stand on his feet all day but if there is anyone that can do it, it's nick.

it's also a bit harder than normal because disability pays $170. a week less social security . pray tell, what does one do with that?

i know. pizza and chinese food, once in a while.
