I have become a grass lunatic.

I have officially lost my mind. Last year when construction was being done, I kept hitting the grass seed sales thinking that I would be planting at any moment. I had planted the new leach field and then some near the bottom of the hill and it was so successful and pretty that I became overly excited about planting and improving the rest. But the construction just went on and on and I completely overestimated what I would need so I wound up with a ton, a ton of grass seed.

This year has been so mild that I just threw grass seed down on the rest of the property and it's coming up nicely but I had so much seed left over. The area I planted last year is so lush that I'm having difficulty mowing it so I need to stop playing with that but now I'm an addict.

Our neighbor hasn't done anything with his yard in many many years and he has a lot of moss. He isn't happy about the situation and has another house elsewhere where he spends most of his time but he just doesn't get it about the lawn and after talking to him I went straight off the deep end and attacked his property. It is becoming absolutely gorgeous. Then I went after the easements which have been severely damaged because the town had to use so much salt to keep the roads clear over last winter.

I need to stop but I don't know how. I have three bags of grass seed left. Our easements are two of three on the street that have nice grass. There's no more to do until more stuff grows in. But I'm completely addicted. What am I going to do when I'm done?

Hey, look at it on the bright side, at least it ain't the kind of grass that's gonna get you a stretch in jail.

Even that is relatively legal here now. Well, for the 35 approved growers anyway.
