Just a note to those who have not participated in the past, you don't have to get fancy cards. Don't feel you can't participate because of that. I've received everything from photo cards to store bought cards, some with a picture tucked in, some not, and I've sent out both. It's the fun of the exchange and connecting with each other.

Maybe there is a way to figure out a way to shuffle the names so that if you sign up for 10 cards, you get 10 cards. Do you remember the total number of folks we had sign up last year?

I organized a card exchange for a small group and you just sent cards to everyone on the list.

My husband (a computer/math guy) set up an Excel spreadsheet to help me shuffle the names, so I'm comfortable with the method. The trick is to keep the number of differing factors as minimal as possible. Getting rid of the "choose your holiday" option will help.

We had 25 participants last year. Most people wanted to send just 5-10 cards, and a big wrinkle was that a lot of people said they weren't willing to mail internationally, and we had a number of Canadian participants as well as US. I thought about suggesting everyone be willing to send cards internationally because that would ease the sorting, but I thought that might be a burden.

I'd be fine with you-send-10-you-get-10 but last year's minimum was 5, so I used that as a starting point. What do you all think?

I agree with everyone needing to be willing to send cards internationally....at least on the US side, it is not a big deal to mail to Canada, just an extra stamp or two.

I'm in too! I think you did a wonderful job last year. What ever everyone wants is fine with me. Thank you for doing this for us again this year.

I had so much fun with the exchange last year! Couldn't wait to get the mail each day.
Happy to do international this time. Thank you so much for organizing the exchange again.

I think being willing to do international should be a requirement. I have a friend in Germany and their postage to US here is a lot more than from the USA to there, so I doubt we'll get many other than Canada. I am fine sending to Canada...
