    Try a flyswatter.

I do not know what is wrong with us. Years ago I wrote about the multiple uses of the remote control, my favorite of which is using it to kill flies. Don't worry. It's a Comcast model. It can take it. There's just something about being pestered by a fly while I'm watching TV that I can't stand.

Apparently this kind of behavior is contagious. My husband just came in and told me that he was going to open a new gallon jug of water because (no kidding) he just used the one that was open to kill a fly but the lid wasn't on it tightly, it flew off and now there's a gallon of water on the floor.

We have flyswatters. They always seem to be so far away. I should start hanging them on the walls.

This is so funny! I've used book, papers and magazines to swat at flies but never the remote or a jug of water! Very inventive. At least the fly met its maker and the water mess wasn't for nothing

Please tell your DH thanks for the idea. Archie is still leery of the flyswatter and I've been using everything else.

Excuse me, now I have to get out all the towels.

Remote is fine but don't want to risk it since DH really whacks the suckers.

Scarlett gets most of the bugs in our house.

For the few she misses whatever is close by- newspaper, dish towel, magazine, DVD case.
