    Pink flamingos. What to do?

So I have posted often and unhappily about my neighbors who planted hay on our property, farmed it, mowed down our survey stakes twice, took our no trespassing signs, damaged a chicken coop, cut down trees, burned illegally on our property and pulled out a tree four times. Most of this was done by someone they hired, but not all of it and it was all their responsibility. After attempting to handle the situation ourselves and subsequently much discussion with our attorney, they are now in possession of a cease and desist letter which details why what they are doing is illegal.

Apparently they are afraid of attorneys. This last round, they seem to have mowed their own field with their riding mower (the front half). While I did not witness this, that's what it appears. Which means that they did not rehire the psycho guy who was using out property to get to theirs and causing most of the vandalism. This is good and a very hopeful sign.

Unfortunately, in the meantime, I ordered 48 plastic pink flamingos.

It seems to me that putting up 48 pink flamingos on the boundary of the property at this stage of the game may be a step backwards. But they are on their way and there are no refunds. Because that's the policy for ridiculously cheap plastic pink flamingos that you can buy in bulk from somebody on amazon who goes by the name "Anonymous" (but they got good reviews - I'm not dumb - five people gave them four stars).

Twelve are extra large. Twelve are whirlygig flamingos. The rest are just your standard size and pose.

Any ideas? I'm tempted to hide them in the woods and put just a few on the edge of the property. This way, if they're wandering around or tempted to start up again, they may think twice if they run into a pink flamingo. Like a warning sign or a guard bird.

I have a neighbor who puts them all over her front yard with Santa hats on as Christmas decor!
Sounds odd, but actually looks very cool! Of course, this IS in Florida, but would be much more unique up north!

(I myself, have a large lighted pink flamingo to go with my lighted alligator)

Little know fact (it may be a rumor). The company in Florida that used to manufacture the pink flamingos closed down and now the largest manufacturer is in Leominster, MA which is the town next to us. Apparently they're shipping them all out though because there doesn't seem to be an outlet here.

Lighted. OMG. I must find those. And a lighted gnome to ride one.

Maybe you should just make a flamingo fence. That would be great until time to mow of course.

I love pink flamingoes. I think you should totally put them everywhere.

I personally wouldnt care what my neighbors did on their own property as far as decorating their yard, OFC I have fences up so I cant really see their yards unless I peak my head over the fence. I have a feeling this neighbor relationship could be heading for the birds

I'm dying laughing here. I hate those things. Almost as bad as one neighbor who had a fake cow in his yard. Thank goodness that is gone.

Voodoo you have hit on a new training tool. What you want to bet that Janedoe gets retrievers running off with them and pointers getting cramps in their legs waiting for them to move. Then again, some labs will probably be looking for flamingo crap.

LOL, while we know you, your neighbors might start thinking, there is the crazy flamingo lady that wants to sue us.

I must say though being from Indiana out in the country I have seem some of the stranger lawn decorations.

Bathtub Jesus. Take one old cast iron tub and bury it in the ground so it is standing up and put a statue of Jesus in it blessing all your flowers.

Which apparently is quite a popular thing as Google comes back with thousands of photos.

One of my favorites was an old toilet. Tank and Bowl filled with dirt and flowers growing out of it. Which again is also pretty popular thing. I remember it always made me smile as I drove by. Odd by any means but still one of those things unexpected that makes you kind of go huh and smile.

So now that I think about it, maybe putting pink flamingos along the border of your property not such an unusual idea. I am sure lot of people would drive by and smile ear to ear, others might think your a little off your rocker, and some might do a little of both.
