      Lightbulb Change Your Ebay Password!!!

Ebay had a privacy breach recently and users are urged to change their password immediately. I update mine the other day after reading the following article. They have stated that Paypal wasn't affected by the breach but it probably wouldn't hurt to update that password either.

I just changed my PayPal password, too.

I remembered that shortly before the board crashed, one of our overseas members had a thread about having both her Ebay AND her PayPal accounts hacked into. I'd thought it was probably a random thing at the time but now figure that it may have been part of this issue.

Thanks so much, Woody. I don't go on Ebay that much and hadn't seen anything in the media to this point.

I did read this in the news here.

Good for you Woody, giving the heads up to those members who do have e-bay accounts. Technology can be great, but when you put your information on a list, you are a possible target. Unfortunately that's the way it works. My husband hasn't put his name on a list in over 10 years. He saw it coming. Sorry to those involved, what a mess. ID theft is getting way out of hand. Already had to redo my debit card because someone hacked a store.

I changed mine too. I never use it but figured it was worth it.

I changed mine when (was it Cookie the Lab now Berna) had her account on ebay hacked into? I guess I should go change it again.

Luckily, I don't do EBay, I had my bank card hacked last time I stayed at Marriott though.

Yep, my account was hacked a month ago. No EBay for me anymore. Paid a fortune in phone calls and if I were not on the internet at the moment it happened, I may have paid for the merchandise I didn't purchase too.

Personally, I think EBay should work harder on their security issues.

I wonder if I should close my ebay account as well. I really don't use it much. Are you able to close it online?
