    vacation!!!

I'm on vacation again!! This month was a killer not only did I work my full time job but have 2 full time petsittings at lunch then every weekend I had a petsitting. Today is the first day I had nowhere to be and nothing to do. I decided to paint my bedroom.

My husband and I bought our first home 3 years ago. Of cours we are house poor and bought a real fixer upper just cosmetics and needs to be updated. Don't have the money right now for things like kitchen to be redone and finish the basement so I've just been painting and decorating when I can. That's why I work so much lol.

It's amazing what a new coat of paint, new color, will do to change a room. We started out the same way and it's taken years to get the way we want, but so satisfying. We're a bit more to go.

Sometimes you have to do with what you can. I wanted a huge Adobe hacienda Rancho custom built home, DW had visions of a huge indoors swimming pool and hot tub. When it came down to it, our pocket book chose a singlewide two bedroom, one bath mobilehome and barely a septic tank to hook up to. Don't feel bad, you're doing a'ight.

You sound like your happy and that's what matters. It's your house so if it takes years to finish then it's ok. The truth is there will always be something you will want to do or tweak. Enjoy your home.
