Gosh, wonder if they can even reply. Sure hope no power has gone out. From what I've seen on the TV, it's horrible.
My thoughts are with you....I can't imagine getting that much snow all at once.
Hope everyone is staying safe.

I'm just across the border - we got some snow but nowhere near what they got. It's pretty creepy - there have been a few days where you can see the wall of clouds over Buffalo, just off in the distance. I could still see it on my way to work this morning. I'm keeping them in my thoughts

OMG! Never heard of snow thunder before. Really scary. All good thoughts for them when the warm up happens next week.
Yep. I didn't believe dh when he said he heard thunder and saw a really bright flash.

The year we moved to IL we had thunder snow. The lightening was blue.
Our neighbor plows here locally as a member of the highway department. He was 'called up' and told not to expect to be home before tomorrow, this happened mid week. Buffalo is due west of us about 5-6 hours.

Jet and I saw snow thunder and lightning in a snow storm in March once. VEry strange, beautiful, eerie, made me wonder for a second if it was the end of the world.
Those poor people in Buffalo, now it's warming up and that's going to be worse than more snow would be. We cleaned the piddly foot and a half we got off the roof edges, I can't imagine how they are going to cope.
We got thunder snow when we lived in the UP. Crazy, but not nearly as scary as lake effect snow.
