Wow, that sounds just awful. Best thoughts for you and Nick. You'll get through this.

i emailed his original dr who has a loving relationship with nick. and is in china till 11/5, coming back to the office in the same buiding on the 6th when we have an appt.

he called the dr, told me he has a plastic surgeon waiting in the wings, pay attention to the wound-see if it is healing, too slow, getting worse and call the other dr often and keep in touch.

meanwhile, nursing service called last night but still cant come as they need approval from my
chi which when they heard my voice said "they are usually good".

i am waiting till noon, before i undress it and will ooly do the saline (it's the stuffing in the hole part that makes me sick) and think i will take a xanex before, and give him an oxy before as well. something i am NOT looking forward to. i was never squeamish when my kids were little, once even having to hold cory during stitches on his face because someone had a nerve to have a heart attack in the ER and there were no nurses available.

this, i believe, is worse because it looks so bad.
he wanted to go somewhere today because he is bored to tears but i am not leaving the house as i want that nursing service to call me. and get here.
he's now in the den, in pain, with his leg elevated

This is just horrible, as if all he's been through isn't enough. And poor you, I didn't think you have RN after your name, nor do you wish too. Just sucks.

Perhaps you can at least take him onto the patio for some fresh air and lunch, I just had surgery myself and I was going crazy and hubby surprised me with breakfast on the back patio. Has to dress warn, but it made my day just to be outside and have a meal.
