    More stupidity

so, the other day the couch i ordered was delivered while the railing guy was working, the cleaning woman was working, and the nurse was changing and cleaning the wound.

hmm, it didnt look like the color i picked as i remembered that i picked a very light grey, lighter even than the natuzzi that went into the basement. this was a grey with a purple tint and not light.. i put the pillows, all jewel colors (red, blue, lime, yellow, turq) on the couch and it was all wrong. ok, not getting crazy (or crazier over this) and called my salesman who i have more than a 30 yr relationship with (very very nice man) and asked when he would be in. couch was delivered fri, this was sat morning and he said sun, between 11-5.

at 11 i was there, with sales slip in hand, thinking i would order the love seat for the other wall and then just have to deal with one odd chair. or order two club chairs and need one odd chair.
i asked him to show me which sample i ordered, he pulled it up and it wasNO WHERE near the color. so i whipped out the photos i took and he said "wrong wrong wrong." . no kidding. of course he walked over to an idiot salesman who wanted to know why i accepted it. i flew across the store and said "you want to know why i accepted it? because i had a nurse cleaning my husband's wound at the same time" and showed the picture. my nice sales man gave the sample of what i picked for me to take home, place on the coach and take pictures of it.
could have been black vs white.

and now they are picking it up on tues because i do not want it in my house so they can say i used it , got it dirty and try and charge me for use .NOPE, get it out.

It's amazing what companies will send out. Our very first sofa was delivered 4 times, all together, because of dirt, faded fabric, fabric from clearly different dye lots, etc. The day a sofa arrived that we were finally satisfied with, a friend came over and our 2 dogs jumped up on the sofa and one of them immediately pee'd on the sofa cushion. We were tempted....

It doesn't sound like things are ever simple for you. I hope they get things straightened out, and soon! How much more can you stand?

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

    this stuff is baby-doody .

normally i might have gotten a tad bit nuts, but nah, not this time. I'm just waiting for them to say they don't have that color anymore and then i start all over. and it won't make me nuts. i will just do it.

We had a couch delivered 4 different times too....each one they brought was defective. They eventually ran out of that brand at the warehouse, and apparently we weren't the only customers having issues. So we picked out completely new stuff.

we've had that happen more than once with furniture. I can't tell you how many times we've returned stuff. Even had to have a refrigerator repaired umpteen times. Ridiculous. Hubby and I now go over everything with a fine tooth comb. So annoying. Hope they get it right in one shot.

Ah RATS! All you need, one more thing. So glad you had a friend in the business to back you up.

Sounds like a couch Eli would like to get ahold of, if you catch my drift.

and that's exactly why i want the mother freaking thing out of my house. tues by noon it will be gone. empty den except for a desk, and a rack with some stuff to display. and a built in unit with a t-v and stereo set up.

at least we have the basement. lol. he's in the bed all day, leg up anyway.
I'm thinking heat or cold and nothing helps. I'm thinking l4 and l5 need out. and god knows. hope no fusion.it's an effort to bend down. and to boot, the overhead light in computer/jack's room blew. i managed to rummage threw the back room , find a few bulbs , picked the right one, and with a step stool, just reached, holding on to nick's head. we did laugh so much that i , well, you know, wet panties.

good to laugh once in a while.

When things finally settle down for you, you'll wonder where all that "excitement" went! Hope your couch is properly taken away and the right one delivered with no problems!!

    Good to have a laugh!
