No kidding. I could see if it was a foreclosure and the former owner left it as a treat but geesh. We once toured a house that had the remnants of a long dead cat in the bedroom.
Nasty!! Maybe it was a left over prank from Halloween?!? If not how on earth did it get in there and btw NASTY!! I'd think you would notice that.

Probably a divorce sell. We bought a house from a cop & wife divorce sell and she apparently wanted to keep the house. We finally had to call the cops to get her out and she plugged up several drains. It was also a MESS.
YUCK! Maybe they were trying to invent a new mouse trap??
Toured a house once, got to the basement and they were keeping chickens there. Besides that, discovered we were covered with fleas on getting back outside. Odd though, the house was very well kept, nice looking.
Wow. That is about as disgusting as it gets. Glad you found a suitable place, and good luck with the offer!!!
Great pic! My husband loved it. What did the realtor say?
Realtor was so disgusted. He posted a picture on Facebook and blasted the other agent for accepting a showing with the house in that condition. Honestly, you'd be healthier not washing your hands after using the bathroom in that house than touching a faucet.
