    Mashed potatoes and gravy definitely but my grandmother made a smoked trout cheese ball that I could never stop eating. Of course my grandparents actually caught the trout so probably not something I could duplicate easily but holy cow that was good.

    I just told my brother last week, I can't think of anything I wouldn't give for some of Mom's mashed potatoes, dressing and gravy. I am amazed at the memories brought on by certain food. It's all about what you grew up with. We weren't rich by any means, but Mom was MacGiver in the kitchen. How I wish I would have spent more time there with her learning all she knew about cooking.
