I'm sorry you're having these troubles with your eyes. Gives me the heebie jeebies to read about some of it. Rather read about Nick's wound, not because it's Nick and not you, because it's not eyes. Shuddddddder. Lots of get well soon wishes for both of you.

    eyes good.
    nick foul.
going to see the kids for hanukah later so he's happy, and then actually all going out to dinner. of course, he was out with me to pick up jelly donuts, and is now neatening up the drawers in the armoire/ huh? that's really resting with your leg up but when i say that he gets nastier. ok.

nurse got the prescription for the new "bandage" and tried to convince me that i can clean the wound. i do all the prep, tell her with a photo just how it should look but guess what? I AM NOT CLEANING OUT THAT WOUND.

i explained to nick, that i worked my entire life paying for insurance and now, we need to use it. i am not a nurse, don't want to be a nurse and more important-DONT HAVE TO BE A NURSE.

i can do the prep without issue but i cannot with gauze go digging in there to get rid of the slough or whatever the hell it's called. not doing it.
and she doesnt want to come daily which the script says until the bandage is not oozing. PITA .

Ugh, I wouldn't either. Mostly because I would freak out and faint if I had to dig through my eye and clean it. Sorry, you're going to have to put me under anaesthetic for that. Sounds horrible. Sending you good thoughts!

    Meanwhile, how's Eli?

eli is the king of the house.

been in bed all the time with nick, tho sleeps with the others in their respective crates.
he's a character, goes out in the rain because the labs do, but i don't think most frenchies care for rain. he may not know that tho.
he does the cuddle, the lean, the push and the shove.
and then i'm on the floor. and we have a king size bed.
he also is our watchdog. my labs don't bark. he alerts us to all sounds and gets up like he thinks he isn't 26 lbs. kinda funny. vangie looks at him like he's cracked.

    he's a clown all right.
and i don't trust him for one minute. sandpaper, and scratch cover has become a weekly occurrence. antique dresser? oh yeah.
my mother's baby grand piano pedal-not good. very bad. nick has to actually get a wood putty that can be sanded , colored and molded . beast.the piano is perfect , since about 1929. till eli.

Heck no. U worked for insurance and paid for it, use it! I wouldn't go digging in there either.

good to hear the eyes are doing better.

you know that older wood taste much better then the newer wood.

I'm waiting to see what nurse they send today. last weekend we had a nice guy who lives a few blocks from me. a dog person and loved the vette. especially when i told him it was in my name. laughed his tail off.
    and seemed efficient.

i am not washing that wound out so ….the nurse will just have to do it.
    not my job.
