My scuba diving certification book.
It is Thomas Jefferson: Author of America
Hitch also wrote a very good book on another of my favorite 'Thomases': Thomas Paine's "Rights of Man": A Biography
I finished the Kissinger book and am back into Jefferson, this time it is his biography by Jon Meacham: Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power. Nice to be in hardcover after the last few read on my Nook.
Just finished this Atlantis World scifi series- pretty good and free on kindle-- I also love The Stand- read the book a long time ago may have to reread that someday. Listening to this Dean Koontz book -The Darkest Evening of the Year- while I've been traveling this summer-. I did not realize he is such a dog lover and an advocate for dogs.
Currently reading "The book of the bitch" - preparing for my first litter :)
and listening to "Queen of the Damned" soundtrack :)
Unfortunately neither Hitch book is in the library catalogue. :( I'll have to request they acquire them. In the meantime I requested The War That Ended Peace my Margaret Macmillan, a view of World War I. Also requested Lawrence in Arabia, a history of how Westerners 100 years ago shaped the Middle East into much as we know it today.
I enjoyed that book. My first exposure to Koontz was Watchers, one of which primary characters is a dog.
Now I'm reading Lawrence in Arabia. It's quite good.
I love our library system. :)
Reading? Do crochet patterns count? As for music I like all kinds so it's been Miranda Lambert, Maroon Five, Taylor Swift, Some Journey and some various 80's hair bands. Let's not forget the Tron sound track, my son and husband got me hooked.
Now I'm reading Wayward Pines... But have a hankering for some CS Lewis
