Reading "Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight: An African Childhood" by Alexandra Fuller which is set in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe. I know nothing of African history, so it's good to learn a little something along with just enjoying the story. I was listening to a book on CD called "Proof Positive" by Archer Mayor but the 4th CD is damaged and won't play, so I guess our drive home will be satellite radio, The Bridge.
I recently read 2 older books by Kent Haruf, "Plainsong" and "Eventide", both of which were pleasant, engaging reads. I also liked his book "Our Souls at Night".
