    The red blood shirt

Several yrs ago, I got a red T-shirt for donating blood that says "donate" "be a hero" and all that good stuff. So after it got old, I tore the sleeves off (red-neck style) and that's been a couple two/three yrs or so.

DW complained today saying it's no longer red but has faded mostly to pink. I like the shirt though.

Here's the poll, should I listen to wife and toss it?

or keep the shirt I like wearing round the house and hear her complain?

Rip the collar off too and tell her you changed it up.

    Toss it!
My husband always has a raggedy shirt on "to wear around the house", and when he does, inevitably someone stops by or he's in the driveway and every one I don't want to see him like that, sees him like that!

You got it for doing a good thing, it's worth wearing because of that. Or donate again and get a new one?

Toss it. If my husband wears a shirt that is old looking, and won't get rid of it, I just hide it.

I voted toss it. Life's too short. Why choose this battle? Suggestion: go donate blood again, and get a new T-Shirt. Complaining is stalled until two-three years, when that T-Shirt wears out.

Might be a male point of view, but I'd never get rid of it. I've had a few pieces of garment soaked with memories of someone or something dear, important and I always wore them until they literally fell apart However, it's true that being a bachelor, I don't have to listen to anyone's complaints. There's no one to complain and my labs either understand or don't care or both.

Wear it. It's not like you're going out in public in it....I don't understand why it should be an issue.

    Tell her 'It's gone . . . '

Don't tell her '. . . into the bottom of my shirt drawer and I wear it when you're away.'
