As the great Warren Miller once said, " if you don't do it this year, you will be one year older when you do." And I let a friend tell me this 3 months ago and off I went snow skiing again. Like riding a bike.

I just may try it. Again thanx for the great video

I've been diving for over 30 yrs. while my wife has about 25 yrs. under her belt. We went to Grand Cayman for the first time this last Christmas. Stayed at Compass Point on the East end. Never got to those those wrecks, both are a bit of a ride and we had steady and heavy NE winds the whole week. Diving is pretty good there.

What camera were you using and what lighting. GREAT vids. Thanks for sharing.
Hope all is well and have a great day

I actually am a Dive Master and help teach classes a couple times of month and try to go on at least one trip a year. Some great color on your videos. I really love seeing people who can dive and not looking like they can barely swim lol

This was our first time in Grand Cayman too--it didn't disappoint! Although there weren't as many turtles and bigger stuff (sharks and rays) as there are in Cozumel (been there twice).

I use a GoPro Hero 4 (second trip with it... still learning the ropes) with a Sealife light and tray. I just got a red filter and Macro lens in one and am still figuring that out too. All this talk is making me want to get back in the water!

That's awesome! My goal is to become a master scuba diver and go from there. We just got Nitrox certified in December and our wreck cert in Grand Cayman. Perfect place for it.

It took me quite some time to get my buoyancy in check, but once that happened, I started to feel way more confident underwater!

What are some of your top diving spots?

    TCL,

I've been wanting to get a GoPro since the first offering of that camera. I keep reading the neg. revues (battery life, menu, flooding case, etc.) but after seeing your vids it makes me want to revisit getting one. Nice thing about it is you can use it out of the water vs. dedicated dive cameras that don't cut it on the surface.

Great dive locals -- Indonesia. EXCELLENT critter diversity. Galapagos. Haven't been there in about 15 yrs. Cold water (depending on time of yr.) but what a trip. If you like sharks (up close), whale sharks, -- well, get there. Bonaire -- not what it used to be (20 yrs. ago) but still a great trip.

Just a few of my recomendations.

Hope all is well and keep blowing those bubbles.

I've only used my GoPro on two trips so far, but I absolutely LOVE it. It's light, compact and not a huge rig you have to drag around with you. And like you mentioned, you can use it above water too!

A trip to Bonaire is definitely in talks right now; Indonesia would be awesome; whale sharks are on the bucket list!

It's great to get in touch with some fellow diver who are also lab lovers!

We were headed back to Grand Caymen for the spring break (wife teaches grade school) but couldn't get a dog/house sitter. Lucky we didn't go since this Mon. and Tue. were snow days (2 in. of snow and a bit of ice. Down here (orig. from Chicago) they just can't deal with a little snow) and make up days are in the spring break. If you make it to Bonaire, check out Bruce Bowker's Carib Inn, Bonaire, Dutch Caribbean - Scuba Diving and Accommodations - Home Page. Been going here for years. However, there are dozens of places to stay. Bonaire is also the shore dive capital of the world (well, they certainly have an abundance of sites). Send a p.m. if you want my take on the Carib Inn and the island. Later.
Hope all is well and have a great day

    Fred Henry
